So many memories flood my mind and heart at this time of year.
My Christmas as a child was filled with love and excitement.
My sweet, sweet and loving Mom, was in the kitchen busy baking all
of our favorites. She made her famous Canadian Tarts,
and bread pudding and tons of cookies.
The smells in our home was unbelievable.
Christmas eve,
our home would be filled to the brim with
Laughing children
and Happy adults. As long as I live
I will never forget the happiness I had
at Christmas time as a child.
Now here I am,
A wife to a wonderful husband of 41 years,
A mom to two terrific children and A grammy
to four adorable children..
I now try and give to my family the same
memories of Christmas
To take with them.
And when I sit and watch them all laughing and giggling with joy,
I close my eyes and see it all, as I saw it years before
and I thank God for what He has given me.
While I am thankful, I won't forget the true message
of Christmas.
On this day we should celebrate the great gift
God has given us!
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only
begotten Son, that who so ever believeth in Him should
not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
